"Since August, United Way has helped nearly 2,000 people in the Ferguson community with basic needs to prevent homelessness, respite and counseling following unrest in the region," said Regina Greer, United Way of Greater St. Louis vice president of community response. "We're pleased to partner with St. Louis County on this round of support that is targeted specifically to business owners and employees who were negatively impacted in November. We urge people to call United Way 2-1-1 to determine if they're eligible for assistance this month."

For this support, United Way 2-1-1 is continuing to execute the first portion of its $1 million contract agreement with St. Louis County to help people impacted by events in Ferguson.
