SLATE Executive Director Michael Holmes presents longtime employee Carolyn Jennings with a proclamation from Mayor Francis G. Slay in honor of Ms. Jennings' retirement after 40 years of remarkable, dedicated service to the City and the citizens of St. Louis.

Ms. Jennings began her career with the City in 1972 with the Department of Personnel as a recruiter.  She joined the SLATE team in 1976 and provided untiring hours in assisting thousands of youth in obtaining summer employment.

During her career, Carolyn has championed numerous adults into becoming successfully trained and employed citizens.  

Ms. Jennings will be remembered as a SLATE icon by her clients and co-workers for her attentive nature, encouraging words and uncanny humor.
