Holiday Light Recycling Drive

Recycle Your Unworkable Holiday Lights at Participating Wal-Mart Stores

December 1, 2010 | 2 min reading time

Last year, the Holiday Light Recycling Drive collected over THREE TONS of holiday lights to recycle. That's THREE TONS that stayed out of the landfill! This year we are hoping to double, even triple that number. People are encouraged to recycle old holiday lights and extension cords. All unworkable holiday lights, whether from your tree or outdoor decoration, can be taken to participating Wal-Mart stores and other locations during store hours.

New Highlights for 2010-11:

  • 18 area Wal-Mart stores will collect unworkable lights and extension cords from November 20 - December 12, 2010
  • 60+ locations throughout the St. Louis metropolitan region will collect lights from December 13, 2010January 31, 2011
