Nine members of the License Collector's Office participated in the Billiken 5k run organized by Saint Louis University and the Saint Louis University Cancer Center on Saturday, September 5, 2011.  Participants ran in memory of Robert (Bob) Ragsdale, a long time office employee who ended his battle with cancer this August. Bob was well-loved; as an example of this, multiple teams of co-workers, family, friends and supporters participated in Saturday's fundraiser for SLU Cancer Center. Bob's wife and daughter, Maureen and Caroline Ragsdale, Honorary Race Marshalls, received an award of recognition for their efforts.

An awards ceremony followed the event for participants who came in first, second or third for their age group. Isaiah Di Lorenzo, from the License Collector's Office, came in 3rd place for his age group and his wife, Olivia, came in first place for her group. SLU provided fruit, beverages, a gift bag and a t-shirt for all of the participants.

The office staff had a great time talking and laughing with Bob's family members who came to participate and celebrate Bob's memory. Though he is sorely missed, Bob being the great, fun-loving friend that he was to everyone, will never be forgotten.
