Mammograms for City Employees

Several dates available when the Mammography Van will be outside City Hall.

In follow up to the letter from Richard R. Frank, Director of Personnel, dated Feb. 6 sent to City employees, the Department of Personnel is again partnering with Siteman Cancer Center to sponsor on-site mammograms.  The Mammography Van is scheduled to be in the parking lot between City Hall, 1200 Market Street, and the Municipal Courts Building, 1320 Market Street, on the following dates from 8:20 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.:

  • Thursday, March 1, 2012
  • Thursday, March 15, 2012
  • Wednesday, April 4, 2012
  • Tuesday, May 8, 2012
The Mammography Van will perform screening mammograms for women without a written note from their physician if they meet the following criteria:
  • Age 40 or older
  • No mammogram in the past 12 months
  • No signs or symptoms of breast cancer (such as lumps or dimpling)
  • No breast implants
  • No history of breast cancer
  • No current pregnancy
There will be no charge if you are in Anthem, however, you must present your Anthem ID card at the time of the mammogram.

 

The American Cancer Society recommends annual screening mammograms for women beginning at age 40.
