- One hundred percent of an aluminum can is turned into another aluminum can in less than a 60-day period.
- There are about 100,000 aluminum cans recycled in the U.S. every minute.
- There is no limit to the number of times aluminum can be recycled.
- Aluminum is the most recyclable of all materials: it is four times more valuable than other recycled consumer materials.
- Twenty years ago, a pound of aluminum made about 20 cans. Today, the same amount of aluminum makes approximately 30 cans.
There is no downside to recycling aluminum, so do the world some good and recycle it.
Note: In checking with a local scrap dealer, the current rate is approximately 60 cents per pound of aluminum.
