The Department of Public Safety is reminding St. Louisans that they may register to receive emergency alert texts and/or emails from the City's Emergency Management Agency (CEMA). During inclement weather or emergency situations, CEMA will send out important timely messages via Nixle.
To receive emergency alert text messages on your cell phone, text "STLCEMA" to 888777. To receive the alerts on your computer and review additional options available to you, visit the www.Nixle.com web site.
If you have already signed up for the service, we encourage you to tell your family and friends about it. It is also a useful tool for local businesses to ensure the safety of their employees and customers.
