The City of St. Louis Business Celebration Luncheon 2011 took place on Oct. 7, 2011.

Several awards were presented in the categories of Businesses of the Year, Developers/Developments of the Year, Quality of Life Award, and Mayor's Award.  These awards recognized businesses, developers, and individuals that made significant contributions to economic development Downtown and in City neighborhoods during the past year.  Also, 28 businesses -- one per ward -- were honored as Neighborhood Businesses of the Year.

Special tribute was paid to the late Bob Cassilly, founder of City Museum, and the late Carol Hunter, who was on the staff of St. Louis Development Corporation.  They will be greatly missed.
