Michael Holmes Elected President of TEAM

As President, SLATE Executive Director will develop strategies to make Missouri workforce competitive.

Michael K. Holmes, SLATE Executive DirectorMichael K. Holmes, Executive Director of the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment, has been elected President of Training and Employment Administrators of Missouri (TEAM) by his colleagues during a meeting in Jefferson City, MO last month.

TEAM membership consists of Workforce Investment Board (WIB) Executive Directors from the 14 workforce investment areas in the State of Missouri. Holmes has been a member of TEAM for almost three years. 

Part of TEAM's mission is to be the catalyst for affecting change, establishing policy, and providing leadership in the workforce investment system to supply employers with a competitive workforce and to provide job seekers with training and employment opportunities that lead to careers that enhance their financial security and the economic climate of the local regions and communities in Missouri.

Holmes' goal as TEAM president is to develop big-picture strategies for the workforce development system and to better the communication between TEAM members and the Division of Workforce Development.
