The 2011-12 Board of Aldermen session began on April 19. Judge Jack Garvey, 22nd Judicial Circuit, administered the oath of office to President of the Board of Aldermen Lewis Reed (pictured top row right), the returning members of the Board from the even numbered wards, and the newly elected Aldermen.

The Board welcomed three new members:

Alderman Thomas Albert Villa, 11th Ward
