Local Business Community Meeting about the City’s Disparity Study

The City of St. Louis will host a series of meetings September 4-5 to inform the local business community meeting about the City’s Disparity Study. The meetings will be hosted by the St. Louis Development Corporation and its consultant, Mason Tillman Associates, Ltd.

The disparity study is being conducted by Mason Tillman to determine whether public contracts are equitably being awarded to eligible M/WBE contractors. It will also identify the number of M/WBEs that have participated on the City’s contracts from July 1, 2007 to January 31, 2012. Hiring goals for the City’s construction contracts will also be discussed. 

The community meetings will provide the business community with an overview of the Disparity Study process and businesses will have the opportunity to share experiences in contracting with the City. In addition, the City’s managers will discuss upcoming contracting opportunities.

The meetings will be held on Wednesday, September 4 at noon and Thursday, September 5 at 10 am and 5 pm at the William J. Harrison Education Center, located at 3140 Cass Avenue. All local businesses are encouraged to attend.
