St. Louis Businesses and Organizations Recognized at Mayor's Luncheon

The Mayor’s Business Celebration Luncheon was held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Marriott St. Louis Grand in downtown St. Louis. The honorable Mayor Lyda Krewson recognized businesses and organizations for their success in growing commerce, development and innovation in the City of St. Louis.
Among those honored was the Kranzberg Art Foundation, who received a Mayor’s Award for their committed to providing opportunities and resources necessary for the arts to thrive. Six businesses, including Chameleon Integrated Services and Greensfelder received the award for Businesses of the Year. In total 56 organizations were recognized, including 28 neighborhood businesses.
In the category of Developers and Developments, Hotel St. Louis and Union Station Phase II were two of eight companies and organizations who received awards for their dedication to the city’s real estate market. In addition, two organizations, Evolution St. Louis and Geosaurus were recognized with the Innovation Award for continuing to establish the city as a startup and technology hubs. And, three nonprofit organizations, including MADE in STL received Quality of Life Awards for their dedication to making and promoting St. Louis as a place to live, work, and visit.
The luncheon, established in 2002, also is presented by St. Louis Development Corp. (SLDC), led by Executive Director Otis Williams. More than 1,200 guests attended this year’s luncheon.
“We are honored to celebrate and recognize the City’s businesses, developers, and nonprofit organizations that contribute substantially to our economy and quality of life,” stated Otis Williams. “These businesses and organizations are essential to creating jobs, sustaining economic growth and building the foundation of our City and neighborhoods.”
