St. Louis Development Corporation Seeks Community Voice to Shape Economic Justice Action Plan

St. Louis, MO: The St. Louis Development Corporation is seeking input from residents, businesses, and organizations to help shape the forthcoming Economic Justice Action Plan announced in September of this year. Working with the consultant team hired for drafting the plan, the group has collected action items from several recent regional plans and is seeking input from the community on prioritizing their next steps.
“The mission of our action plan is to provide a framework for launching equitable opportunities to thrive for all residents by addressing historical barriers, economic inequities and closing the racial wealth gap,” says Neal Richardson, Executive Director at St. Louis Development Corporation. “This effort will only be successful if we center and listen to resident voices. Our goal is to hear from every neighborhood in the city about their biggest opportunities and most urgent priorities.”
The team has launched a survey that allows residents to provide feedback on the four pillars of the Economic Justice Action Plan which include:
•           Workforce Development
•           Business Empowerment
•           Neighborhood Transformation
•           Equitable & Inclusive Development
The survey also includes the opportunity to prioritize a number of calls to action from recent regional plans that align with these four pillars. Everyone is invited and encouraged to share their voice at http://bit.ly/SLDC22. The survey will close on December 17th.
