Andrea L. Hughes and Luisa Otero-Prada
Andrea is a self-taught artist who wears many hats in the St. Louis art scene. As director of the 14th Street Artist Community and president of the Zuka Art Guild, she's deeply involved in the local creative community. A native St. Louisan, she hails from the Fairground Park community, now part of Old North St. Louis. Andrea's artistic journey includes training through the Regional Arts Commission's Community Arts Institute (CAT). She was named the "Community Impact Artist of 2022" by the St. Louis Visionary Awards program. Andrea shares her passion for art and community by teaching virtual art classes for seniors and by adding color to the community through murals, such as those for the "Doors of Old North" project and the Delmar Street Mural Project, as well as banners for the Brickline Greenway North Connector.
