Overview

The Emergency Rental Assistance program made funding available to assist households that were unable to pay rent or utilities due to a COVID-19 hardship.

The City of St. Louis and St. Louis County partnered with a company called LiveStories to distribute rental and utility assistance to eligible households. All applications for assistance were submitted through the FORWARD portal, a program operated by LiveStories.

The funding made available under this program was used to make direct payments to landlords/utility providers on behalf of qualifying tenants.

Applications for assistance opened Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 10am CDT and closed Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 5pm CDT.
