Chouteau Park
Overview and amenities for Chouteau Park
Chouteau Park is one of the city’s newer parks and sits along Chouteau Ave., both named for St. Louis founder, Auguste Chouteau, who with Pierre Laclede Liguest, established St. Louis as a trading post in 1764.
Located between S. Newstead Ave. and Tower Grove Ave., Chouteau Park is close to the Ronald McDonald House (a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children) and Washington University Medical Center. The park is easily accessible, with restaurants and shops nearby in the Grove district.
Park features include a basketball court, children’s playground, fitness stations, a paved, tree-lined path, climbing mound, and a multipurpose field.
