Deputy Public Administrator - Case Management

Employment opportunity with the Office of the Public Administrator

The Public Administrator for the City of St. Louis is seeking to fill a position on her Case Management team.  Such position will be responsible for management of guardianship files as assigned by the Public Administrator and responsible for decisions regarding placement, medical & psychiatric care, social interaction, vocational opportunities, and any other decision regarding the Ward’s education, support, and maintenance.  The position requires interaction with Department of Mental Health, Department of Health and Senior Services, mental health agencies, and all related agencies and programs offered in the quilt-work of mental health support.  The position requires processing and custodianship of all documentation on behalf of the Ward including review and approval of treatment plans, medical care, programs, consents, admission forms, and any other document required for the support and care of the Ward.  The case manager will be expected to visit each Ward at least once each year.  The case manager will share after hours call duty with other members of the team.

This position is part of a team that creates a new generation of guardianship services in the City of St. Louis.  One can expect a challenge and an opportunity to creatively design solutions to mental health issues in the St. Louis area, one consumer at a time.

This is a St. Louis City position and therefore, must meet the St. Louis City Residency requirements.
