Hodiamont Cycle Track
New cycle track on Hodiamont Avenue from Delmar to Gwen B. Giles Park and the Hodiamont Tracks.
Project Background
The City of St. Louis is embarking on this interim project to make a cycle track connection between the MetroLink station at Delmar and the Hodiamont Tracks at Gwen B. Giles Park. A future Great Rivers Greenway project will remake the Hodiamont Tracks. The design is now complete. When built, the project will include a cycle track (a two-lane roadway for bikes).
Project Objectives
- Create a safe, protected bikeway between Delmar Boulevard and the Hodiamont Tracks
- Improve traffic safety by reducing excessive vehicle speeds in the corridor
- Improve accessibility and safety for pedestrians
- Update pavement markings, including crosswalks
- Allow more residents to use the corridor to connect to nearby amenities
Project Status
The project is currently being designed, details will be available later in 2023.
