Gravois Avenue Traffic Safety Study
As requested, WSP has performed a safety study for a segment of Gravois Avenue (MO Route 30) in St. Louis, MO between Jefferson Avenue and Shenandoah Avenue.
Project Overview
The objective of the study is to analyze and identify safety and traffic issues along Gravois Avenue between Jefferson Avenue and Shenandoah Avenue. The study was initiated due to continued safety concerns among nearby residents and businesses. Safety concerns primarily include speeding along Gravois Avenue, safety of pedestrians in the area and frequent vehicle crashes. The purpose of this technical memorandum is to briefly document our data collection, results of safety and traffic analysis, summary of recommendations and conceptual plans for the City of St. Louis.
