Traffic Management Enhancement Project Phase 4 - Goodfellow Boulevard

Traffic Management Enhancement Project Phase 4 - Goodfellow Boulevard is a federally supported transportation improvement project in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Project Overview

Goodfellow Boulevard is a key transportation corridor in northern Saint Louis, Missouri. As a minor arterial road, it connects two wards and seven neighborhoods to essential goods, services, and destinations, including the U.S. Army Reserve Center, Barrett Brothers Park, Pierre Laclede Junior Career Academy, major industrial areas, and Interstate 70. Upgrading this vital multimodal route will reduce vehicle emissions, and enhance mobility, safety, and accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and transit users.

Project Location / Description

The 3.75-mile project corridor runs along Goodfellow Boulevard from Halls Ferry Circle in the north to Delmar Boulevard to the south. There is a significant need to maintain and improve traffic management and safety within the City’s complex transportation network, including the reduction of motorists travel times and vehicle emissions. This project enhances the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) infrastructure, enabling the Real-Time Transportation Intelligence Center (TIC) to better manage traffic incidents and congestion.
