The St. Louis Public Library is proud to present Trent Reedy, Allison Weir, and NiNi Harris and Don Korte as part of the November installment of its popular Authors @ Your Library series. The events are FREE and open to the public.
·Read It Forward is back! Trent Reedy discusses and signs the 2015 selection, Divided We Fall, which draws on his military experience, at Central Library, 1301 Olive Street, on November 5 at 7 p.m.
When Daniel Wright enlisted in the Idaho Army National Guard, he swore to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the state of Idaho against enemies, foreign and domestic, and to obey the lawful orders of both the president and the governor. But they have issued conflicting orders. Whom should Daniel obey? The president? The governor? His sergeant? Or is loyalty to family, friends, and fellow soldiers more important?

·Alison Weir discusses and signs her book, Against Our Better Judgment: The Hidden History of How the U.S. Was Used to Create Israel. The event takes place at the Schlafly Branch, 225 N. Euclid Ave., on November 7 at 2 p.m.
A former journalist, Weir writes and speaks widely on Israel-Palestine, including lectures at Harvard Law School; Stanford;Yale; the University of California, Berkeley; and the Naval Postgraduate Institute. Her book has been praised by reviewers including Ambassador Andrew Killgore and former U.S. Senator James Abourezk.
Weir is the president of the nonpartisan Council for the National Interest and founder of "If Americans Knew," a think-tank that provides information on Israel-Palestine to the American public.

·NiNi Harris and Don Korte discuss and sign their book, Downtown St. Louis. The event takes place at Central Library, 1301 Olive Street, on November 14 at 2 p.m.
The book follows the evolution of downtown St. Louis—from colonial days, when French traders and craftsmen planted maize on the prairies that stretched from what is now Fourth Street west to Jefferson Avenue—to modern-day millennials and empty-nesters living in castle-like warehouses converted into 21st-century lofts.
Author NiNi Harris, a lifelong St. Louisan, has researched and written about St. Louis' architecture, ethnic heritage, neighborhood histories, and the Civil War in St. Louis. For 30 years she has given tours of downtown that explore the city's frontier history, the evolution of the skyscraper, and the dramatic Art Deco architecture.
Photographer Don Korte is the co-author of Victory Through Valor: A Collection of World War II Memoirs, the second edition of Finally, a Locally Produced Guidebook to St. Louis, and contributed photographs to St. Louis: An Illustrated Timeline.
