Correctional Officers Juannell Goodwin and Paul Hopgood recognized

 In the month of November, Juannell Goodwin and Paul Hopgood of the Division of Corrections were chosen for distinction as Officers of the Month in their daily briefing sessions.  

Ofc. Paul Hopgood

Second shift's Officer Hopgood has been with the DOC for 15 years.  He is known for making his co-workers smile with his humorous observations and outgoing personality.  His outstanding performance was cited as "being recognized for his professionalism, perfect attendance, no disciplines, and quick wit, in responding to an incident involving a fellow officer's safety."  When asked, he said it was nice to feel appreciated.

Officer Goodwin has been with the DOC for more than five years.  Currently, he works on the first shift.  Previously, he worked in reservations at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.  The experience has helped him apply customer service techniques to his job with Corrections.  His certificate stated, "Goodwin is a good role model, great organizational skills, wonderful problem solving skills, and he represents the ideal Correctional Officer."

 

Each officer received a certificate of recognition for outstanding performance and a DOC sweatshirt along with other incentives.
