Mayor Krewson Presents 40-year Service Pin to Gladys Kassing

Kassing spent her entire 40 years with the Water Division and made a mark on the department

During a brief ceremony at City Hall last month, Mayor Lyda Krewson presented a 40-year service pin to Gladys Kassing. On hand for the presentation was Curt Skouby, Director of Public Utilities.

Kassing began her career with the City on September 11, 1978 as a Clerk Typist I at the Water Division and spent her entire 40 years with the Water Division. Other positions she held were Customer Service Representative, Customer Service Supervisor, and Administrative Assistant. Her last five years were spent as a Customer Service Manager. She was in charge of the Water Services Manager, Customer Service Supervisiors, Water Meter Workers and the Customer Service Representatives. Kassing played a key role for the Water Division, and she performed her duties with the best interest of the City, the Water Division, and customers in mind.

Kassing retired on October 1, 2018 in order to spend quality time with her family, especially her wonderful grandson, Kai. Her service to the City and to the people of St. Louis will not be forgotten.
