The St. Louis Public Library is proud to present an outstanding lineup of thought-provoking authors during its April Authors @ Your Library series including Eric Jerome Dickey, Jim Merkel, David Sheff, and Dr. Leana Wen. In addition, the Fifth Annual "Read St. Louis" community-wide reading initiative continues. All events are FREE and open to the public.
- Dr. Leana Wen discusses and signs her new book, When Doctors Don't Listen: How to Avoid Misdiagnoses and Unnecessary Tests. The event takes place at the Schlafly Branch, 225 N. Euclid Ave., on April 3 at 7 p.m.
- David Sheff discusses and signs his book, Clean, which presents a new paradigm for preventing drug abuse and treating addiction. The event takes place at the Central Library Auditorium, 1301 Olive Street, on April 8 at 7 p.m.
- Cheryl Strayed discusses and signs her book, Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail as part of "Read St. Louis," the community-wide reading initiative in which the St. Louis Public Library and the Saint Louis County and St. Charles City-County Libraries partner to bring you today's top authors. The event takes place at the St. Louis County Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd., on April 17 at 7 p.m.
- Jim Merkel discusses and signs his book, Beer, Brats and Baseball: St. Louis Germans. The event takes place at the Buder Branch, 4401 Hampton Avenue, on April 18 at 7 p.m.
- New York Times bestselling author Eric Jerome Dickey discusses and signs his new book, Decadence. The event takes place at the Central Library Auditorium, 1301 Olive Street, on April 29 at 7 p.m.
