The St. Louis Public Library is proud to present the premier of  its Contemporary Tuesday Nights series.  The series' first performer is pianist/composer Tim Jansen, who will perform piano sonatas by Beethoven and Liszt.  The event takes place in Central Library's Auditorium,1301 Olive Street, on August 12 at 7 p.m.  The event is FREE and open to the public.  Seating is first-come, first-served.

Tim Jansen has performed throughout the United States and frequently performs at the Sheldon Concert Hall, where he is the Artist in Residence with St. Louis Pro Musica. Tim Jansen is an accomplished composer and was one of two local composers commissioned to write a work for the Evening Prayer Service during the last Papal visit of Pope John Paul II.
