Did you know that a 12 oz. water bottle holds $90 worth of dimes?  The Humane Society of Missouri would like to give those dimes to dogs in need and invites City employees to help.

Every year, the Humane Society of Missouri hosts the Midwest's largest dog walk and festival -- Bark in the Park.  This fun festival features family and pet centered entertainment, food, activities and, of course, a dog walk with all proceeds benefiting the Humane Society of Missouri Animal Cruelty Fund.

If you decide to participate, start collecting dimes today to donate to the event on Saturday, May 19th in Forest Park.  It's simple.  Just ask co-workers to help give animals a second chance by filling up "Dimes for Dogs" bottles.  For more information, contact Cathy Smentkowski at (314) 589-8132.

You may also find more information at www.hsmo.org/bark.

April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, and this initiative would be one way for you to take a stand against animal cruelty.
