The 2011 St. Louis City Recorder of Deeds and Vital Records Registrar's charity drive for the Muscular Dystrophy Association collected $1,600 from City Hall customers, employees, families, and friends.

The fundraising was organized by the Recorder and Registrar's Cashiers Department. Cashier Carol Evans did an outstanding job as the office's MDA Jail & Bail Most Wanted.

Money for Ms. Evans' "bail" was raised from Recorder and Registrar employee casual day fees, collection cans at the Recorder and Registrar's Cashier Department, and additional solicitations. The fundraising effort received a generous contribution from St. Louis City Mayor Francis G. Slay.

Many thanks to all donors for making this year's MDA collection such a huge success.

Our City Hall MDA effort has received beautiful thank you letters from two of the children served by the Muscular Dystrophy Association- Madeleine and Taylor.
