Overview

A community improvement district, to be known as the “City Foundry Community Improvement District” (hereinafter referred to as the “District”), is hereby established pursuant to the CID Act on certain real property to provide services, construct improvements, impose taxes and carry out other functions as set forth in the petition.

Member Requirements

Appointments require Board of Aldermen approval.

The Petition provides that the District shall be governed by a Board of Directors consisting of five individual directors (collectively the “Directors” and each a “Director”). Each member of the Board of Directors will have the following characteristics: (1) be at least eighteen (18) years of age; (2) a resident of the State of Missouri; and (3) be an owner as defined in the CID Act of a business operating within the CID or owning property within the CID, or be a legally authorized representative of an owner of a business operating within the CID or a property within the CID of the five Board Members. One member shall be designated by the Mayor and one member shall be designated by the Finance Officer of the City. Upon expiration of the terms of the initial Directors, successor Directors shall be appointed from a slate approved by the Directors and by the Mayor of the City with the consent of the Board of Aldermen, in accordance with the CID Act and the process and the qualifications set forth in the Petition.
