The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Lambert- St. Louis International Airport announced the opening of an application site for TSA Precheck on the ticketing level of Terminal 1. TSA Precheck is an expedited screening program that allows travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt and to keep their laptop and a 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in their carry-on suitcase without having to remove them at the checkpoint.

The TSA Precheck application process allows U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents to go through a pre-enrollment process online at www.tsa.gov and visit an application center to provide biographic information (e.g. name, date of birth, address, etc.), fingerprints, valid required identity and citizenship/immigration documentation and an application fee of $85 for a five-year membership.

During the online application process, travelers can make an appointment to visit the new Lambert TSA Precheck center to complete the enrollment process. The center is pre-security on the upper, ticketing level of Terminal 1, near the MetroLink station entrance. The center’s hours are Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“The new TSA Precheck application center in the St. Louis airport is a great benefit and customer service amenity to our passengers. They now have a convenient site to enroll in the program and take advantage of expediting the security checkpoint process,” said Lambert Airport Director Rhonda Hamm-Niebruegge.

“This application process greatly increases the availability of TSA Precheck benefits to a broader population of travelers both in St. Louis and nationwide,” said Federal Security Director for the State of Missouri Bill Switzer. “TSA Precheck is enabling us to move away from a one-size-fits-all approach to transportation security, as we look for even more opportunities to provide the most effective security in the most efficient way.”

Once approved, travelers will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) and will have the opportunity to utilize TSA Precheck lanes at security checkpoints at 118 participating airports and on 11 airlines including: Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, Virgin America, Hawaiian Airlines, Sun Country Airlines and JetBlue Airways.

Travelers can also enroll at non-airport TSA Precheck Application Centers in Missouri and Illinois including locations in Chesterfield, MO; Granite City, IL; and Effingham, IL. Additional program information and how to enroll can be found at http://www.TSA.gov/tsa-precheck/application-program.
