Hello Ward 14,

Spring is just days away!  It hardly seems as though there was much winter, none-the-less the signs of spring will be here soon.  March 10 is the annual Business Community Fair at Long Community Education Center, 5028 Morganford Road.  There will be several vendors that will interest area residents.  For more information call Patrice at 353-1034.

Look for the Brightside flyers to be landing in your mailbox very soon.  This will alert you to the dates for the Spring Blitz in the 14th Ward.  Get ready to organize your neighbors to do an annual cleaning of your yard and alley.  Details will be in the mailer soon to be sent, or go on line to Brightside St. Louis.

For those of you wishing to get ahead on Spring cleaning, the refuse Department has Bulk Pick Up the first Monday of each month in the 14th Ward.  Make sure to place bulk items near the trash bins and DO NOT BLOCK YOUR NEIGHBORS’ access to their garage or dumpster.  If there are questions about this service or any City service call 622-4800 for more information or if you Tweet @stlcsb.  The Service Bureau is happy to assist you with any and all needs.  They will contact the appropriate City Department to assist you.

I also commend those working with the Citizens On Patrol and Neighborhood Watch groups in the Bevo and Southampton Communities.  They are working very hard to keep our area safe and clean.  Thanks for those that participate.  Hope to see you at your neighborhood meeting.

Thank you,
Carol
