Ordinance No. 70715 (BB# 240AA) passed in January 2018 and authorized a bond issue election in the amount of $50M for the purpose of replacing a portion of the Fire Department's fleet of fire engines and ambulances, conducting Fire station repairs and equipment purchases, purchasing a new accounting and payroll system and providing funds for Police, Corrections and other City building and equipment needs. The proposed bond issue was approved by voters in August 2018. It is anticipated that the issuance of these general obligation bonds will occur in the fall of this year. A detailed list of proposed projects is contained as "Exhibit A" on page 6 of the attached copy of the ordinance.
