Inauguration of Mayor Tishaura Jones and Comptroller Darlene Green held April 20 at noon

(St. Louis – April 19, 2021) The inauguration ceremonies of Mayor Tishaura Jones and Comptroller Darlene Green will take place on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at noon in the rotunda of St. Louis City Hall. Mayor Jones will make history as the first African American woman elected mayor of the City of St. Louis.

Pre-inaugural remarks will be provided by Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas, St. Louis County Executive Sam Page, East St. Louis Mayor Robert Eastern III, former Missouri Senator Shalonn Kiki Curls, and Kwame Building Group Chairman & CEO Anthony Thompson.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the public is encouraged to watch the inauguration on STL TV at https://youtu.be/yhuLC6abASA. Access to the first and second floors of the rotunda will be limited to ceremony participants and invited guests. The third and fourth floors of the rotunda will remain open.

All visitors to City Hall—including inauguration participants and observers—will be subject to a temperature screening and are required to wear a face mask and maintain social distancing of 6 feet in the building. City Hall will remain open for those conducting business.
