Report a Stray Animal or Pet Problem

City of St. Louis residents can report the following animal related concerns to the Citizens' Service Bureau (CSB):

• Animal Bite
• Check Welfare
• Dead animal in the right-of-way
• Injured or Sick Animal
• Pet owner is not complying with animal laws
• Pets in a food establishment
• Prohibited animals on premise
• Report stray dog(s) roaming at large
• Resident has more than 4 pets
• Treatment of Carriage Horses
• Unsanitary keeping of pets/feces in yard not picked up

Emergency

If an animal appears to be in distress or unresponsive and it is between Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, call Animal Care and Control at (314) 657-1500.

For after hours or on weekend reporting, call (314) 231-1212 or 911.

Non-Emergency

• Review local animal regulations to see if a specific regulation applies to your incident (optional).
• Gather information on the address or intersection of the situation or incident, and be prepared to describe the conditions you experienced.
