Overview
If you are facing eviction, you can request help from the Housing Eviction Law Program. The help you may receive includes:
- Counsel and advice
- Assistance through MOTenantHelp.org
- Pre-litigation and litigation support
- Referrals and resources
- Document and form filing
- Court representation
- Requests for new trials, if needed
The City of St. Louis works with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri (LSEM) to implement the project and offer free legal services.
Preparation
- To be eligible for the program, you need to be a renter living in the City of St. Louis. Validate your address.
- Information to have with you when you call:
- If you have received an eviction notice from your landlord, have that eviction notice information with you.
- If you have been summoned to appear on the eviction court docket, have that information with you.
