Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position supervise healthcare programs/staff and provide case management and program coordination in order to promote community wellness. Incumbent will coordinate and supervise various communicable disease investigation and tuberculosis control programs and staff. Work involves some evening and weekend assignments and requires the use of a personal vehicle.

A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; plus two years of public health nursing experience. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Certification: Must be certified in CPR at the time of filing application and while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must be able to present certification at the Oral Interview.
Licenses: Must be licensed by the State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse at the time of filing application and while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application. Must present RN and driver's licenses at the Oral Interview. Please note licenses on the Employment Application.
Documentation of academic credentials and nursing license must be submitted at the time of the Oral Interview.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: A Master’s degree in Nursing; plus one year of experience in an administrative/ supervisory role.
A limited number of applicants may be scheduled for the Oral Interview based on an evaluation of their qualifying education, training and experience as listed on the Employment Application. Include reasons for changes in employers and explain any gaps in employment history on the application. Incomplete and/or carelessly completed applications will not be considered. Resumes will not be accepted as a substitute to a fully completed application.
VETERAN'S PREFERENCE POINTS: To be eligible for veteran's preference points, the applicant must submit a copy of his/her DD 214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty with the Employment Application or at the time of the Oral Interview. The Director of Personnel may, in his discretion, accept alternate documentation.
