- Maximum: $65,234.00
This examination's eligible list will be used for filling both permanent and per performance vacancies. Per performance positions do not require City residency, are exempt from employee benefits and are paid $20.06 hourly.
Nature of Work
Incumbents in this position are responsible for examining commercial and private building plans and inspecting construction sites to ensure compliance with building code regulations.

A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning or a related field which includes coursework in historic preservation and urban design. OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
License: Must possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver's license while employed by the City of St. Louis. Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of filing application and be able to present it upon request. Please note type of license, number, class and expiration date on the Employment Application.
Documentation of academic credentials must be submitted upon request.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Professional experience in plan review, building design, zoning code administration, or construction. Knowledge of Form-Based Zoning Code principles and initiatives. Familiarity with updating website content including uploading documents to an existing website.
