What to Expect

The Cultural Resources Office (CRO) Hotspot Desk is staffed by a Preservation Planner who can assist applicants with questions relating to historic district standards and proposed rehabilitation projects.

The Hotspot Desk can approve smaller projects over-the-counter so permits can be issued in one stop. These projects include window and door replacement; tuckpointing; porches and decks; garages and carports; and fences, as long as the project complies with the relevant historic district standards.

The CRO Hotspot Desk is available Monday through Friday

8:30 AM to noon, and 1-3 PM.

It is located in the Business Assistance Center, Room 421 City Hall, 1200 Market Street.
