Project Overview
The City of St. Louis is embarking on this interim project to make a cycle track connection between the MetroLink station at Delmar and the Hodiamont Tracks at Gwen B. Giles Park. A future Great Rivers Greenway project will remake the Hodiamont Tracks. The design is now complete. When built, the project will include a cycle track (a two-lane roadway for bikes).
Project Objectives
- Hodiamont Cycle Track Banner Create a safe, protected bikeway between Delmar Boulevard and the Hodiamont Tracks
- Improve traffic safety by reducing excessive vehicle speeds in the corridor
- Improve accessibility and safety for pedestrians
- Update pavement markings, including crosswalks
- Allow more residents to use the corridor to connect to nearby amenities
