Francis Park Midblock Crosswalk Project
This accessibility and mobility enhancement project focuses on five intersection improvements surrounding Francis Park.
Project Overview
Francis Park is one of two parks serving the St. Louis Hills neighborhood. The park offers many recreational amenties including tennis and handball courts, playgrounds, and sports fields. This enhancement project seeks to provide all visitors with safer intersections, crosswalks, and sidewalks.
Project Objectives
The project is anticipated to include:
- Pinned-on and built-in bumpouts
- Enhanced striping for crosswalks, stop bars, yield symbols, and edge lining)
- Signage for crosswalks
- Retangular Rapid Flash Beacons (RRFBs)
- ADA compliant curb ramps
