Emily Breedlove selected as Executive Director of TechSTL

Launching the regionwide initiative to bolster the entrepreneurial ecosystem

ST. LOUIS— Emily Breedlove joined the St. Louis Development Corporation as the inaugural Executive Director of TechSTL. She is tasked with launching the regionwide initiative to bolster the entrepreneurial ecosystem through leveraging technology-based opportunities and making innovation more inclusive across the St. Louis MSA. As a 6x tech founder, Breedlove brings over 15 years of experience navigating the world of high-growth startups and transforming communities through entrepreneurship and innovation. 

Neal Richardson, Executive Director of St. Louis Development Corporation stated, “Emily has come on board and is committed to fostering equitable economic opportunity across America by empowering regions through data-driven strategic planning, public-private partnerships, and leading-edge community advancement practices which harness the power of entrepreneurial ingenuity.”

An entrepreneur at heart, Breedlove continues to serve the founder community as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at ITEN (Innovation, Technology & Entrepreneur Network presented by Lindenwood University), where she also is one of the lead trainers in the Eureka Experience IDEATION & VALIDATION Accelerators. As a multi-certified trainer with experience leading Mentoring Networks, Pitch Competitions, Growth Accelerators, and more. 
Having worked her way from coast to coast, Emily is an economic development powerhouse, award-winning event producer, public relations specialist, and nationally recognized thought leader in entrepreneurial ecosystem design. Her dynamic background as a serial entrepreneur has equipped her with an uncommon expertise in digital media production, corporate and government relations, community resource mapping, and multi-state campaigns which she is eager to integrate into her leadership at TechSTL.

Breedlove stated, “I am honored to serve the St. Louis community and am excited to see what new opportunities we can create for the region through the TechSTL program.”
