Resident Interview for 2839 Dayton Street

Rosie Willis purchased her home on Dayton Street in the JeffVanderLou neighborhood in 1970. Her memories of the neighborhood are shaped by a different era than most individuals interviewed; yet her connection to home ownership and the neighborhood is no less than those who spent their entire lives in Jeff-anderLou and St. Louis Place. Rosie founded Fresh Starts Community Garden in 2009. She works tirelessly to create connections in her neighborhood and hopes to see density and vibrancy return to the area.
