Description: The cannons, two "Long Toms" and a "Carronade," were part of the munitions of the 50-gun British frigate "Acteon. The ship entered Charleston Harbor in 1776 to bomb Fort Moultrie but went aground and was quickly attacked by American ships which bombed its magazine and sunk it. The cannons where later retrieved and sold. The three presented to Lafayette Park were bought by the Missouri Commander of the Loyal Legion.
