"Empowering area students to improve their physical fitness, while also encouraging them to embrace literacy and become a difference-maker in their community is at the heart of our organization's mission," said Lieberman. "I'm excited that so many civic, corporate and community leaders and volunteers have joined us in this effort by serving as Reading Ambassadors for the celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday."
Other City Reading Ambassadors included Comptroller Darlene Green, Fire Chief Dennis Jenkerson, and Rick Simoncelli from the St. Louis Public Library Foundation.
The Go! St. Louis Marathon Weekend will take place on Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15. For more information about the various events that are planned for that weekend, visit http://www.gostlouis.org/ .
