The City of St. Louis will conduct the Street Count portion of the annual Homeless Census on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The census gathers information about the size and characteristics of the homeless population of St. Louis. This is essential to the effective planning and provision of homeless assistance and prevention services.
Volunteers are needed to canvass the City and survey individuals who are homeless. All volunteers will be led by an experienced outreach worker. A brief orientation will be held on the day of the count, then teams will carpool to their assigned areas.
