2019 Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery

Reminder to change all of your smoke alarm batteries when you change your clocks

It's that time of the year again! Daylight saving time ends November 3, 2019 at 2 a.m. When you change your clock back, be sure to test and change the batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.

The National Fire Protection Association reports that 71% of smoke alarms which failed to operate had missing, disconnected or dead batteries. This underscores how important it is to take this time each year to check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
