The Engaging Local Government Leaders network (ELGL) is once again managing #CityHallSelfie Day this year. ELGL is a professional association of 4,800 people who work for and with local government. While we all may be celebrating #CityHallSelfie Day a little differently this year, hopefully participants will find creative ways to celebrate their municipality and all they are doing to make their community a better place.

The fifth annual worldwide #CityHallSelfie Day will be observed on Friday, Aug. 14, 2020. This is your chance to showcase your #localgov love. In the past, local government employees, elected officials, media, and community members have participated on #CityHallSelfie Day. Participation is easy.

1. Take a picture of yourself or with a socially-distanced group in front of your local government building OR take a photo showcasing your local gov pride at home with #CityHomeSelfie.

2. Post the picture on social media with the hashtag #CityHallSelfie.

3. Taking a photo at home this year? Make sure you use the hashtags #CityHallSelfie AND #CityHomeSelfie.

4. Tag ELGLNetwork on Facebook, @ELGL50 on Twitter, or ELGL50 on Instagram. And, of course, tag @Newsgram on Twitter as well.

Due to COVID-19, this year's #CityHallSelfie Day will be different, but do use the opportunity to showcase the perseverance of local government through it all and share it with the world!
