Fire Chief Dennis Jenkerson and the men and women of the St. Louis Fire Department extend thanks and appreciation to Parcel Insurance Program, a local subsidiary of Brown & Brown Insurance, and Fireman's Fund Insurance Company for partnering together to donate $36,949 to the Department to purchase EZ-Scape Self Rescue Belts for every firefighter.

The EZ-Scape Self Rescue Belt will provide each firefighter with a means of escape from dangers when working two or more stories above the ground, by allowing him or her to safely exit upper floors of a building through a window if trapped by the path of a fire.

Joining Chief Jenkerson at the grant presentation were Andy Knudsen of Fireman's Fund, Dan Daly of Parcel Insurance Plan and Director John Huff of the Missouri Department of Insurance - Financial Institutions and Professional Registration.

Thank you for your generous donation!
