Voters will go to the polls on Tuesday, April 5 and cast ballots on a number of important issues. Your vote on April 5 will help shape the City's economy and the region's education system. Make sure your voice is heard.
A number of events are celebrated each April. One of those events is Earth Day. The first Earth Day was held on April 22, 1970. Twenty million Americans from all walks of life participated and launched this modern environmental movement. Join the 27,000+ expected attendees at the 22nd Annual St. Louis Earth Day Festival, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 17 in Forest Park on the Muny Grounds. This year's theme is "Be the Change." For details, visit http://www.stlouisearthday.org .
April 17, 2011, will also mark the 10th anniversary of the swearing in of Mayor Francis G. Slay as Mayor of the City of St. Louis. Happy 10th Anniversary, Mayor Slay!
Since 1952, each April office workers are honored. The theme for this year's Administrative Professionals Day is "celebrate all office professionals." Downsizing has forced all of us to pull together and work harder and smarter in the workplace so the hard work and sacrifice from everyone is being recognized this year on April 27.
Look for Newsgram tweets about other events coming up in the days and weeks ahead.

Ideally, every department will designate one person to submit for publication staff news, photos, information on events and any information you would like to share with your fellow City employees.
