ST. LOUIS PUBLIC LIBRARY PRESENTS FINAL 2014 INSTALLMENT OF ITS CONSUMER HEALTH INFORMATION SPEAKER SERIES
The St. Louis Public Library presents the final 2014 installment of its Consumer Health Information Speaker Series. This month the series features ophthalmologist Dr. Michael P. Donahoe, dentist Dr. Candace Wakefield, and pharmacist Dr. Jamie Shelly, who will discuss how your eyes and mouth can provide important insights to your overall health. The program takes place at Central Library, 1301 Olive Street, on October 28 at 6:30 p.m. The event is FREE and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served.
Dr. Michael P. Donahoe, M.D., graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in cataract surgery and general ophthalmology.
A native St. Louisan, Dr. Candace Wakefield is a board certified children's dental specialist with a unique ability to relate to kids. She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1995 and attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2000.
Dr. Jamie Shelly, Pharm.D., is an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at St. Louis College of Pharmacy, where she teaches oral and ophthalmic health in a nonprescription medication and drug information course. She is a clinical pharmacist specialist at a community pharmacy in St. Louis.
