ST. LOUIS PUBLIC LIBRARY OFFERS A WIDE ARRAY OF FASCINATING AUTHORS DURING ITS MAY AUTHORS @ YOUR LIBRARY SERIES

 

The St. Louis Public Library is proud to present a wide array of authors during its May Authors @ Your Library:  Jackson "Cat Daddy' Galaxy, Les Landes, Anchee Min, Walter Mosley, and Joe Schwartz. The events are FREE and open to the public.

 

 

  •   Les Landes discusses and signs his new book, Getting to the Heart of Employee Engagement. The event takes place at the Central Branch, 1301 Olive St.,on May 15 at 6:30 p.m.

This business fable begins with the premise that the essential differences between human beings and other living creatures are imagination and free will.

  •   Jackson "Cat Daddy" Galaxy discusses and signs his new book, Cat Daddy:  What the World's Most Incorrigible Cat Taught Me About Life, Love, and Coming Clean.  The event takes place at the Schlafly Branch, 225 N. Euclid Ave.on May 15 at7 p.m.  Co-sponsored by Left Bank Books.

The cat behaviorist and star of Animal Planet's My Cat From Hell tells the poignant story of his 13-year relationship with Benny, a petite gray-and-white short-haired cat, and gives singular advice for living with, caring for, and loving the feline in your home.

  •   Anchee Min discusses and signs her new book, The Cooked Seed.  The event takes place at the Central Branch, 1301 Olive St.on May 22 at 7 p.m.

 

Twenty years later after her memoir, Red Azalea, became an international bestseller, Min returns to give us the next chapter.

  •   Walter Mosley discusses and signs his new book, Little Green.  The event takes place at the Central Branch, 1301 Olive St.on May 23 at 7 p.m.

 

Easy Rawlins is back! He's cruising the hippified streets of the Sunset Strip (ca. 1967) in search of a young black man who has gone missing—and possibly of his own rebirth.

  •   Joe Schwartz discusses and signs his new book, The Veiled Prophet of St. Louis.  The event takes place at the Carondelet Branch, 6800 Michigan Ave.on May 25 at 2 p.m.

 

As the tarot cards are dealt, each short story exposes the horror and the glory that is commonly overlooked and dismissed as ordinary life is revealed.
